With support from the Culture Moves Europe program, our team participated in a cultural exchange to Georgia April 11-19, 2026. During our intensive program, we had the opportunity to visit publishing houses in Tbilisi and discuss challenges, possibilities and future perspectives of the Georgian market for children’s literature today. We thank our hosts from the leading independent publisher Sulakauri Publishing House and Artanuji Publishing for Kids, specializing in historical literature, for showing their portfolios of high quality picture books and for sharing with us their insights into current publishing developments in Georgia. We also discussed the role of translated Scandinavian literature for children in the Georgian book market.
