PEPP II Conference 2025: Advancing Sustainable Maritime Development in Africa
Last week, the PEPP II research project hosted the PEPP II Conference 2025 in Accra, Ghana, which also brings us to the end of PEPP II.
The conference has brought together researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to engage in valuable discussions on sustainable maritime development across Africa. This reinforced how targeted research can directly support strategic maritime initiatives, shaping policies and practices for a more sustainable and resilient maritime sector.
A huge thank you to all our speakers, panelists, and participants for their insightful contributions - your expertise and dedication are driving the future of sustainable maritime development in Africa.
While the PEPP II research project concludes, the work goes on: Through the Africa Blue Economy Network, our community remains committed to unlocking the full maritime potential of the African continent.
A heartfelt thank you to our collaborators, international advisory board members, as well as funding partners, including Danida and the Danish Foreign Ministry, for making this work possible.
