MIXED has a sister and a cousin – three projects for climate-smart and resilient farming
MIXED was funded by EU’s Horizon2020 program under the call topic ‘Climate-smart and resilient - sub-topic Efficiency and resilience of mixed farming and agroforestry systems.
Two more projects were selected for funding – so MIXED has a 'sister project' called AGROMIX. The year before another project, STARGATE, was funded under the same call topic, but a different sub-topic, namely Microclimate management: from field to landscape – thus a kind of 'cousin' to MIXED and AGROMIX.
The three projects will together investigate potential for collaboration. The first collaborative event was a workshop organized jointly between the three projects on 14 June 2021 where the projects were introduced and discussions on topics of mutual interest took place. MIXED chaired a discussion on ‘The role of farmers as multi-actors and how to engage with farmers in research project’ (read more in the joint press release).
The next collaborative event between the three projects is a ‘Seminar on resilience in Agricultural Landscapes’ on 10. November (online), where MIXED will provide a presentation and chair discussions on ‘Assessing resilience through statistics and qualitative approaches. See more on the event and register here.
