Míša brought home the Peter Ladefoged Prize in April 2022 for a contribution at the biennial symposium of the British Association of Academic Phoneticians, which best reflects the legacy of Peter Ladefoged. The prize was voted to be shared by the following two contributions:

1) Scott Moisik, Míša Hejná, John Esling, “Laryngoscopic case studies evaluating glottal and epilaryngeal components of laryngeally constricted sounds.”

2) Míša Hejná, “Pre-aspiration and pre-glottalisation do not have to be mutually exclusive."
