The project team has just returned from a nine-day research stay in Phoenix (Arizona). In collaboration with assistant professor Kathleen H. Pine, they investigated data work at a healthcare analytical unit. As a part of a hospital cluster in Phoenix, the unit repurposes data through different extracting, processing, and visualization processes for use in healthcare. The team was introduced to the unit’s setup, infrastructure, and work practices. Further, they had the opportunity to shadow and interview staff members one-on-one to get an in-depth understanding of their practices.

The plan is to publish research results in collaboration with Pine at a later time.

The project team would like to extend its gratitude to Kathleen H. Pine for collaboration, as well as the involved management and staff members for their time and effort.
