Background

 

The research in this work package is highly exploratory.

Underpinned by Spatial Data Science and Geographical Information Science, social media data mining is a process of representing, analyzing, and extracting patterns from citizen volunteered, social media data. 

Data & Methods

We will develop apps to extract sentiment from social media, like Facebook and Twitter, to understand how people interact with their social and physical environment. We will match those patterns to specific health outcomes, mental health in particular.
