Sustainable Culture for Change

About the project

Sustainable Culture for Change is a development and research project aimed at ensuring the quality of the school development projects being launched under the programme THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS’ European VET Development Initiative (EVI). The project includes support to local development projects with the aim of ensuring sustainable implementation. The project is producing results that can be used broadly by institutions implementing school development projects and in relation to the development of national vocational education and training systems.

The project makes use of process-evaluation as a tool for continuing quality development. Engaging school leaders and teachers in ongoing collection of experiences and reflection upon development activities provides guidance to each school project.

Project timetable

The project is divided into two phases.

  • In the first phase, a survey will be conducted and the methodology developed. Specific evaluation models are developed and tested in eight projects. The first phase will run from the beginning of 2019 to the end of 2021. After the first two years, the results are evaluated with the aim of revising the form and content of the project.
  • In the second phase, the developed evaluation models are implemented in full scale in all the established projects. The second phase of the project will be adjusted based on the findings in the first phase and will run from the beginning of 2022 to the end of 2025.
  • The total project has a duration of six years.
