I develop methods to analyse SNP data from genome-wide association studies. A particular focus is creating polygenic risk scores for predicting phenotypes (e.g., disease risk) based on an individual's DNA. In particular, I have shown how the accurate of polygenic risk scores can be improved by taking into account the genetic architecture of complex traits. I am very interested in finding out ways these scores can be used to provide clinical benefits.
