I will discuss our work in single molecule fluorescence detection and applications in biomolecular interactions. Single molecule approaches allow unique ways to view ligand-nucleic acids and protein binding and their dynamics and provide information on molecular mechanisms. I will discuss examples including small molecule targeting of nucleic acids and targeting of protein-protein interaction.
