FACCE SURPLUS Kick-off meeting and Biorefining Workshop in Denmark
To present funded projects and create synergy with ongoing research, FACCE SURPLUS will host a kick-off event in Denmark in September 2016. The event is part of the International Biorefining Seminar and Partnering Workshop which aims at facilitating European consortia establishment in the field of biorefining and food production.
FACCE SURPLUS, Aarhus University and partners will invite 200 European stakeholders from research and industry to attend the International Biorefining Seminar & Partnering Workshop which will be held in Denmark on September 14 and 15.
The event marks the launch of FACCE SURPLUS and the research projects selected within the frame of this €14 Million H2020-supported ERA-Net. Participants are thereby given a unique chance to provide valuable insights and feedback to the projects as they will be presented shortly, addressing the potential expectations of stakeholders.
Furthermore, participants are invited to take part in specific workshops with the aim of creating project groups/consortia for project applications in 2017 and forward under FACCE SURPLUS, Horizon 2020 or the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI). Thus, the event is structured to provide an opportunity for those interested in working within specific fields of biorefining and food production to meet others who can complement their own skills and make excellent consortium members.
During the meeting, participants also have the chance to visit one of Europe's most advanced research platforms in the field of biobased production and biorefinery, located at Aarhus University.
