Microbial Futures Symposium in Aarhus
Participation by AMR@LAB at interdisciplinary Symposium May 21-22, 2024
AMR@LAB team members presented their research findings at the Microbial Futures Symposium organized by Ciara Kierans, Jens Seeberg, Gauri Sanjeev Pathak and Eimear Theresa Mc Loughlin. The Symposium was funded by Center for Biosocial Inquiries (BIOSINQ), School of Culture and Society, AU and Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies. It was held at AIAS in Aarhus.
The Microbial Futures Symposium delved into the intricate connections between microscopic presences and humans and animals. By challenging conventional paradigms, it explored how biological and social phenomena intersect across species boundaries. The symposium focused on themes such as microbial life, antimicrobial resistance, and micropollutants, aiming to deepen our understanding of these dynamics. Scholars from various disciplines engaged in an interdisciplinary dialogue, offering fresh perspectives on the complex relationships shaping our world .
