Thursday 21 September, Postdoc Barbora Wouters was invited to give a workshop, together with Yannick Devos (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and Hans Huisman (Rijksdienst voor Cultureel Erfgoed), at the SIKB Annual Congress in Ede, The Netherlands, to promote the use of archaeological soil micromorphology over there. Wouters talked about microstratified layers in urban contexts, and the workshop also allowed participants to interact with large poster prints of thin sections in groups. It was a great success, and the team had many positive reactions and questions afterwards.
