Jim Phelan is visiting Narrative Research Lab!

From 27th May, Distinguished University Professor and Editor, Narrative Department of English at Ohio State University, Jim Phelan is in Aarhus.

In September 2013, Jim Phelan received an Honorary doctorate Aarhus University's annual celebration, and in connection with his visit, Jim Phelan also lectured on the basis of his recently completed essay on the relation between rhetorical theory and cognitive theory under the heading "Rhetorical Theory, Cognitive Theory, and Morrison's 'Recitatif': From Parallel Play to Productive Collaboration".

During his visit this year, Jim Phelan will speak at the joint seminar "Reader, narrator and narratee - A joint exploration in the field of narrative studies" together with Divya Dwivedi and Sarah Copland (see poster to the left).

They will all attend the monthly meeting in the Narrative Research Lab and all students with interests within the field of narrative studies are welcome to attend.
